Nikkei it´ s a new Peruvian-asian restaurant, in the roof top of Oakland Mall. One of my friends had recommended it, and I knew I need to go to this place.

They had a really good menu, with a lot of seafood. To start I ordered a Chicha Morada, that it´s a drink made with corn, brown sugar, pineapple and spices. Te result it´s very refreshing.

I wasn´t sure of what to order, I first thought of getting a Parmesan Maki, that its a sushi roll with spicy parmesan, salmon, lomito, shrimp, masago, cheese cream, chives and avocado, but my friend Ingrid wanted to order that so I thought that I better get something else and still ask her if I could try the sushi roll. I thought about the Bao Bao, but my final decision was the Chicken Breast Aji, with ginger, sake and cheese over tagliatelle with a pesto. I know that it´s no the place to order pasta, but believe me it was SPECTACULAR, so I decided that I needed to came back to try the bao, a sushi roll maybe the California Nikkei and a Tiradito, thats my goal, so sooner you will have another post about this great place.

To finish we share a dessert, the waiter was really nice and recommended  the panna cotta of coriander, the taste was PERFECT, it came between a chocolate cake, with ice cream and coconut, it has the perfect amount of sweetness.

The service was really good, the waiter was always paying attention if we need something and the place has great music and a good atmosphere.

Nikkei es un nuevo restaurante peruano - asiático que recién abrió en Roof Top de Oakland Mall. Una de mis amigas ya me lo había recomendado así que sabía que debía ir a conocerlo.

Tienen un muy buen menú con muchas opciones de mariscos. Para empezar ordene una Chicha Morada, que es una bebida tradicional peruana a base de maíz negro, azúcar morena, piña y especias. El resultado es bastante refrescante.

No estaba muy segura de que ordenar por que todo se me antojaba, al primicia pensé en ordenar un Parmesan Maki que es spicy parmesan gratin, salmón, lomito, camarón, masago, queso crema, cebollín y aguacate pero mi amiga Ingrid iba a ordenar eso, entonces mejor deje que ella lo pidiera así podía probar un poco de su plato, luego pensé en el Bao Bao, pero finalmente me decidí por el Ají de Pechugas, que eran pechugas de pollo con perfume de jengibre y sake, rellenas con queso y shiitakes, bañadas en ají amarillo sobre tagilatelle a la huancaina trufada y los verdes del día. Se que seguramente no es el lugar para ordenar pasta pero creanme estaba ESPECTACULAR, y ya decidí que necesito regresar a probar el Bao, el sushi California Nikkei y un tiradito, esa es mi meta, así que seguramente pronto van a ver otro post de Nikkei en el blog.

Para terminar ordenamos el postre, el mesero fue muy amable en recomendarnos la Panna Cotta de Cilantro, que venía dentro de dos capas de pastel de chocolate, acompañado con helado de vainilla y coco, la verdad estaba delicioso, tenia la cantidad suficiente de dulzura, sin empalagar.

El servicio fue bastante bueno, el mesero siempre estuvo atento a lo que necesitáramos, la música estaba genial y con un muy buen ambiente.
